The 31st Ordinary Session of the ACERWC was opened on 23 April 2018, by Mme Kadidia Sangaré Coulibaly, Minister of Human Rights of the Republic of Mali.
The Committee will seat in Session until 4 may, 2018, in Bamako Mali. State Party reports from Burkina Faso, Burundi, Malawi, and Niger will be considered. Complementary reports from Civil Society Organisations from Mauritania, Nigeria, and Zambia will also be considered. Key moments of the Session include the launch of the ACHPR-ACERWC Joint General Comment on Ending Child Marriage , discussions on General Comment on Article 1 of the Charter (General measures of implementation).
A number of decisions on pending communications/complaints cases are also expected.
